Aprilaire 2200 Filter

I’ve been using the Aprilaire 2200 filter for over 10 years.  Before that, I was simply going down to the local store to grab a new filter every month or so.  Honestly, after experiencing both sides, I wouldn’t go back to doing it that way ever again.

Being able to click a button to order online and have it shipped to my door is great.  Even better is the fact that I don’t have to replace an Aprilaire 2200 filter for at least a year.  Best of all was that it really worked… Heaven!

My Story

12 years ago, or so, we moved to Utah.  Soon after moving here, my husband and two of my children were having allergy problems.  The arid climate seemed to bring out the worst in their allergies to pollen and other airborne allergens.

We had a new ac/heater system installed, hoping it would help their allergies.  Although it helped somewhat, we found ourselves replacing furnace and air conditioning filters often.  I started doing some research for alternatives.  A friend of ours who owns an a/c and heating business suggested we try the Aprilaire 2200 air cleaner filter.  I was a little hesitant simply because of the difference in price between regular filters and the Aprilaire filters.

Why an Aprilaire 2200 Filter?

The Aprilaire 2200 filter was sizably more money than the regular filters.  Nonetheless, our friend reassured us that the Aprilaire filters were worth the money, and we would not have to replace them but once a year.  This sounded odd to us, but we trusted our friend’s advice and decided to give it a try.

In short, we have not looked back since, and as I mentioned earlier, I wouldn’t think of going back to doing it the way we used to.  We went from changing the filter every month to once a year.  And, the Aprilaire 2200 filter has made all the difference for my husband’s and children’s allergies.
